And if you don’t like them, UPS will send them back at no charge and zappos will either exchange them or refund them. If you fill out the online exchange form, they send you new shoes before you even send the old ones back.
See maybe it’s me, but I don’t like buying shoes unless I’ve tried them on and walked around in them. Just ordering them online seems to defeat that purpose
It might be against Man Law to do this, but you could either ask your friend what to wear, or go to the trendy men’s store, find a male sales clerk, and tell him you’re going clubbing in Cincinatti with NFL cheerleaders and what does he suggest?
That’s what I’d do. But I’m not a man.
It’s acceptable to ask fellow men what to wear.
Don’t men have some version of the Little Black Dress that you can wear anywhere?
Dockers and a button-down shirt. That’s casual. Not a freaking suit like limeyboy over there.

The ‘Little Black Dress’ is a formal outfit for ladies, a la Audrey Hepburn, as designed by Givenchy, and popularised in ‘Breakfast at Tiffanys’.
The mans equivelant is a single breasted, 3 button, straight legged, slim cut, black suit.
You frickin’ divvy.
It’s a formal outfit, not casual. But by all means turn up at a formal occasion like you’re auditioning for
‘Revenge of the Nerds 6: Coming Straight outta Idaho’, if you like.
Dockers and button down shirt indeed, do you wear them with clown shoes as well?
That’s so wrong. No one, except middle aged widget salesmen should wear double breasted suits, they hang wrong and don’t look good unfastened. Soul, you’ve got some excellent designers in the US, where are you getting your clothes from?
It’s a white one with stripes...like a light orange and grey. And there’s some funky “arty” type thing silk-screened on it. It’s one of those slimmer fitting shirts...surprisingly it fit over my gut OK, though it’s a tad tight around the shoulders...makes me look tough :)
Never did find any new shoes though. I’ll go with some other black leather shoes I have that I really like.
I agree, double-breasted suits are a no-go. Single-breasted, 3-button is where it’s at. Casual work clothes for me are grey or black slacks, I like cuffs, and some nicer golf-type shirt. Though I prefer a fitted button up shirt, anything but white. The problem is it ain’t cheap. The clothes cost a bundle to start, but what kills you are the dry-cleaning bills!

Good choice, sounds right for the venue, you’d be surprised how slimming slim fit shirts are.
I am really odd with shoes, I’ve bought the same 3 pairs loads of times, Black Loake Chelseas, Black Rockport Dress Boots and some brown Church brogues. Same style every time, I replace ‘em all every 3 or so years.

For work I wear jeans or combats and a t-shirt. The joys of working from home.
I used to wear suits a couple of times a week when I worked in an office, otherwise it was trousers and a shirt. I miss getting suited and booted.
Do you dry clean your shirts? I only dry clean stuff when absolutely necessary, the chemicals eventually damage the material, stuff starts looking shiny and the colour goes. And I always cool wash my trousers.
Aside from the suit my uncle handed down to me, ive got nothing. My regular atire consists of baggy jeans(my favorite pair ripped last week  ) a white undershirt, and some sort of humerous often crude T-shirt. My advice though is to not over do it as far as clothes go. You cant look like you just came back from church or a funeral when you go clubbing. Get a pair of khakis, a polo shirt, and a white undershirt, and whatever shoes will work best.
For some reason in the last year or two ive been wearing a cheap, white, cotton shirt under my regular shirt consistantly now. The 2 dollar a pack fruit of the loom type ones you can find anywhere. It just seems to give off a cleaner look all around and go with everything. I highly recommend you all try it sometime.
