Of course I’m not a terrorist but I were, my letter would go something like this.......

Thank you ACLU. thank you for attempting to handcuff your own country from the detention of our Islamic brothers. Thank you for suing your own government to release more pictures of Abu Ghraib, it would be a great recruiting tool for jihadists globally. We, and I speak for all of us that would like nothing more than to kill Americans and to destroy your way of life, we thank you. Your war on Christianity, your anti-Israeli stance, and and your organization’s attempts to undermine your government’s war on terror is appreciated and will not go forgotten.

Thank you Cindy Sheehan. We killed your son but you blame your own President. Thank you. Your son died attempting to bring freedom to a nation but you said that his cause was not noble. Thank you. In your grief for the son we killed, you enpower us. Thank you. Your outright disrespect for your President is carried around the world and re-enforce the idea of that America does not have the staying power. Thank you.  A few words from you against your own country does more than a thousand speeches from a thousand imans at a thousand medrosses. Thank you Cindy Shehan.

Thank you Senator Dick Durbin.  You have certainly been our most unexpected ally in our war against America. Never in our wildest dreams would we have imagined that a US senator would get up on the senate floor and compare your own American military personnel to Nazi’s, gulags, and Pol Pot. You cannot imagine the number of Islamic brothers called to arms from all around the globe by your words. Thank you.  We appreciate any help that you can give us in the future, with your help we can make a thousand more Cindy Shehans.

Thank you liberals in general. Thank you for forgetting that we killed over 3,000 of your fellow citizens Sept. 11, 2001 and placing that blame on your own president. Thank you.  If you have done nothing it has been to perpetuate the Paper Tiger Theory.  Liberals would lay down and die before defending their family, their country, or their way of life. Thank you. We are nearly one and the same! You hate the American military as much as we do. Thank you.  You blame your country for all of the world’s problems just as we do.  You want to put your tail between your legs and cut and run from Iraq proving to the world that America can be beaten, you hate traditional American values, you opppose all means of your national security.  We thank you for all of these things but mostly we thank you for being political and moral cowards.  I wish you and the Democratic party luck in 08. God willing, America will have a liberal president in office in 28 months and we will again see your blood spilled in your cities.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

You forgot something along the lines of :

“We give thanks daily to Allah that your left provide us with endless propaganda (saves having to think up something ourselves) and for showing us that martyrdom is not necesary, as we are now empowered to carry out multiple attacks per person! We have all seen how to cry “VICTIM” to open the weak and bleeding hearts of wealthy americans all over hollywood”

er, well, something in that vein, I would think…

Fuck me, this seems a little below the belt. Surely the people that should be given the most rope in terms of how they cope are the families of people killed. Am I missing something with this ?

You also forgot something along the lines of:

“Please continue to equip hostile governments and countries that want to use Nuclear Fuel to power thier cities, thank you Bill Clinton for making your America keep it’s eyes on both North Korea AND Iran.  This has freed up untold hours to prepare more attacks on your cities.”

oh and something along these lines:

“We thank you for allowing the UN to keep it’s hands in your affairs.  Without them, we might not be here writing this letter thanking you.  They are by far the easiest people to corrupt, bribe and buy.  The greed of these people is without bounds.  It was so easy to string them along to get our own way to keep you infidels all tied up until Saddam sold us all of his munitions, the very same weapons that are killing infidels everyday.  What a great organization the UN is, we thank them for helping our cause.”

That’s funny, because I can’t remember anyone advocating foreign interference in the US election. As opposed to actually interfering in foreign elections, covertly or more obviously, because you don’t like the result (or likely result).

Maybe instead of discussing and taking an interest in the US election us foreigners should actually make sure we make a difference - maybe we should all be setting up Endowment for Democracy organisations of our own.....?

How about the letters written to American voters by “ordinary people” in the U.K.?

Hardly actual interference in an election process or result. At the end of the day, those who receive letters can actually vote for who they like.

U.S. Election: The World Should Also Have a Vote

Published on Thursday, March 25, 2004 by the International Herald Tribune

The problem exists internationally, too. No one wants to upset the United States, which remains the biggest market for exports and largely controls multilateral financial institutions. Many foreign leaders feel obliged to measure their words when discussing U.S. policy. The last hope for keeping the United States in check is international public opinion.

If this is the case, why not give the citizens of the world a voice in the election of the next U.S. president?

It only advocates what amounts to a poll, but it certainly is arguing that international pressure should guide US voters.

If you haven’t seen it yet, on the Moorewatch front page a few recent entries’ comment sections discuss where the hostility, among other feelings, comes from.  Without trying to take a side, let me suggest you read those comments.  They provide some insight into what at the surface may just look like ranting.  You don’t find this depth of thought among DU commenters.

whatever dude. you complain that all sorts of things would be better within your country if nixon/reagan/bush/the US hadn’t done (to) x/y. you even bomb us for our involvement in killing PLO babies. if thats not an attempt to influence our voting habits and heal the world it can only be classified as simple stinking murder.

You’ll probably find more criticsm of that coming from INSIDE the US, than outside. Maybe it’s time to address the internal issues of the US before blaming EVERYTHING on the rest of the world (particularly Europe), d’ya think?

It’s like the britain we imagine existed from 1945-1970: which never really existed and can never realiticly be acheived or even properly defined and it would in truth be awful living in it anyway. Imagine heartbeat or darling buds of may if it was set in america and you’re there.
