Everyone has a price… and so it turns out that JimK’s price was $12,000.

If you were as rich as Moore and it would cost you a mere 12 grand to undermine JimK’s credibility and expose his hypocrisy, would you pay it?

Moore is a genius.

Or more to the point, to keep his drooling idiot fan base satisfied he is right and his opponents are hypocrites… because I’m not sure the average disinterested person would be convinced of anything here.

A genius would try and make everyone ‘see the light’. Moore doesn’t operate like that.

The motive is debatable but in the end it is essentially irrelevant.

Moore has shown JimK’s true colours, he will gladly accept donations from the direct target of his relentless scathing vitriol.

JimK’s credibility is shot and quite frankly I’m not surprised that the adorable little sycophants who run the JimK Fan Club will defend him to the death to help him save face. Let’s be honest, the JFC would still defend JimK if he and Moore got married.

Good on you for sticking by your beseiged captain. You need all hands on deck to save a sinking ship.

I’m a liberal.
I don’t have any love for JimK. I benefit from the fact that he provides this forum, but that’s as far as it goes.

But in this case it’s pretty clear to me that Moore acting appallingly. JimK’s credibility isn’t affected at all.
So I’m living proof that what you are saying cannot be true.

I don’t have any love for JimK.

Perhaps it’s lust? The two are easily confused.

CM - 18 June 2007 03:09 AM

But in this case it’s pretty clear to me that Moore acting appallingly.

Is it possible that Moore simply acted out of benevolence toward JimK’s ailing wife or did Moore use JimK like a dim-witted pawn in his evil conspiratorial plan to raise awareness of America’s problems?

Moore does JimK a favor, JimK thanks Moore and most people in here can barely contain their outrage. Hilarious and pathetic.

JimK’s credibility isn’t affected at all.
So I’m living proof that what you are saying cannot be true.

Yet you’ve got other forum members in here contending that his credibility HAS been affected.

So you’re living proof that some people will demonize Moore, regardless of his actions. God forbid, that he would do something nice for your beloved forum owner.

Welcome Mephistopheles, to the one of the few forums that lets you have an opposing viewpoint, as long as one isn’t too sarcastic or snotty or rude.

Wrong. JimK has already said he would not be any more lenient on Michael Moore.
If you don’t believe that, then we do not have much to debate.

Moore is a genius.

He also used JimK, so it was hardly an anonymous donation of good will. Since Moore is such a kind hearted fella, let’s list all the other people he has helped with gifts of money.
They are:

Well. I am tapped.

Heh, I was wondering how long it would be until the next one found its way to the forums.

I particularly liked this bit:

Moore does JimK a favor, JimK thanks Moore and most people in here can barely contain their outrage. Hilarious and pathetic.

The main source of barely-contained outrage seems to come from those who have signed up to complain about how ‘ungrateful’ JimK has been towards Moore, and attack us on the basis of that. Now that I find hilarious and pathetic.Being moved to anger by a website full of people you don’t know, concerned with matters that have no effect on you.

Yet you’ve got other forum members in here contending that his credibility HAS been affected.

So you’re living proof that some people will demonize Moore, regardless of his actions. God forbid, that he would do something nice for your beloved forum owner.

Oh noes! We of the forum don’t speak with a single voice. Now each of our individual opinions has been discredited because we don’t all agree on everything. It’s almost as if we’re a number of people from different countries, different ages and different political views. Madness!

And do you honestly believe Moore was trying to do something nice for JimK? Or did he use JimK as a pawn? The two are pretty mutually exclusive. It’s almost like, by putting it in his movie and using JimK in a gotcha moment at a press conference, Moore was using JimK’s problems to promote his new film. Mmm, gotta love that benevolence. I’m just waiting for Moore’s induction into sainthood.

So the rich guy wins, and you’re happy about it.  Huzzah for capitalism!  Oh wait, that wasn’t your point?  You also postulated that Moore was just being generous.  You also claimed JimK was “bought”, and yet he continues to criticize Moore’s methods just as he always had.  You’re making no sense.

I’m surprised you came back, but glad.  Reading you mention somebody else’s “undermined credibility” is hilarious.  You’re own posts undermine each other.  I probably won’t reply further, but please know that your entertainment value is appreciated.

Actually, I’d like to see JimK try to pay the donation forward. Send off $12k, in chunks, to a free speech group (or something along those lines) that legally defends people from political correct people like Moore like fans. Do the donations in Moore’s name too…

In the end, he can tell Moore thats where his $12k went. Even offer him the tax write off.

Darn street urchins and wiley peasants don’t know their place. ;)

The left stands for nothing when it comes down to it. Any principle, out the window when not immediately convenient.

Look at from the rabid Moore fan’s perspective:

“I’m Michael Moore’s whore for free, blowing him all across the intrawebs day and night, and some asshole who points out the untruths of my beloved and bloated Oscar-winning god on a daily basis, essentially wiping his ass with the holy scripture of enlightenment gets 12k *and* a spot in the movie?!?!?! Then the bastard isn’t even decent enough to be bought off by this generous gift, and instead continues to dismantle my glorious icon lie by lie?  RARRRRRGGGGGG!!!! ME SMASH JIMK!!!!!11111!j3je9dj92d929fsdf3r3fsfse23e...”

You have to feel for them.

Hopefully Harry Connick Jr. shoots a Ford commercial here in the midwest, when the water comes down, I mean.  What would really fix things is a telethon where Kanye West declares George Bush doesn’t care about white people.  But somebody has to figure out how the president has been blowing up levees up and down the Mississippi River.
