I’ve been lurking and listening a few times each month but work and family life takes precedence. Perhaps I should attempt to restore some semblance of balance in here. I fear it may be a thankless and lonely exercise in futility.

That is fine. You could lay off the blanket statements and personal attacks and assumptions though.
If you are a long time member here, then you already know we are usually more lenient than other forums.
However, if every post is merely to antagonize people, you may be considered a troll.

Moore fans come to , in your estimation, a rabid, vehement and poisonous anti-moore site and suffer attacks because they’re unsuspecting of the possibility that something like that might happen? You don’t give the average moore fan much more credit than I do. Not that I buy your premise…

Meph, we don’t go onto pro-Moore sites and start shit there. The stated purpose of this website is very loud and clear, and most of us here think Michael Moore is a windbag and we don’t consider his films to be true documentaries. Any Moore fan who comes here had better damn well know what they’re getting into, especially any of his loyal drones who think that just because they read one news article that suddenly makes them an expert on everything that has happened here.
I take it his detractors on this one are all in favor of HMO’s and the pharmaceutical companies.
There is still triumph left in this world, and Michael Moore delivers a documentary about the healthcare industry that leaves the mind reeling and stinging.
In the end, Moore writes a $12,000.00 check to the man who maintains the largest anti-Michael Moore Website in America. It seems the man’s wife is gravely ill, and he had to choose between her health and his anti-Moore Website. He chose his wife.
Michael Moore said that didn’t seem fair or right, and then anonymously gave him the funds to get that anti-Michael Moore Website back on the air.

If you don’t believe that, then we do not have much to debate.
So he’ll keep the money but he’s made a commitment to his loyal followers that he will continue to actively berate and denounce Moore.

Yeah, I’m sure someone who has dedicated so much of their life to constantly bitching about Moore would be the definitive authority when it comes to quoting his good deeds.
The fact is, I don’t expect anyone who hates a single man so vehemently to find any redeeming features in him. You didn’t let me down.
So you have read some of my posts and concluded I hate Moore. You couldn’t be further from the truth. I came here because I watched BFC and it led you to only one conclusion. I found out there were many editing tricks that Moore did that I didn’t approve of. I didn’t like being led by the nose to what Mike wanted me to believe. If there is a genuine problem, the truth would do nicely. I dislike his tactics, I am not a big fan of Bush Jr and I vote across the spectrum. Are you going to admit you were wrong about me? We will see.
I could conclude from your posts that you are a learned , pompous ass. I will need more than that before I would even try to guess what type of person you are. I suggest you read more of my posts before you try to decide what kind of person I am.

I consider you far more learned in history matters, for example.
I am probably more learned about BMW motorcycles (maybe).
I can only really state my opinion, and even if I consider myself more knowledgeable than someone else, I could still be wrong.
This site has taught me not to jump to any conclusions, yet I still do sometimes.
