BTW...the politicians that created the corrupt HMO’s were no other than

...The democratic controlled congress of the 70’s.  Oh you don’t like that having pointed out do you commando?  The fact that the laws that created hmo’s were made in a congress full of the people you’d happily blow.

Sorry Buzzie...actually your blow doll was Nixon, exposed here during the birth of the HMO:

HMO Act of 1973:

Who typically passes acts?  I’ll give you a hint, Acts are laws.  You’re a moron, dumber than even nixon.

Of course you also need to learn that HMO’s are a product of the government.  And you want the organization that stupidly created this (probably some of them are still there too), to have even greater control.  And you’ve seen how well they did with this.

Crichton, you quote Moore...but are you taking it out of context?  You are if you did not see “Sicko”.

A) I didn’t quote moore, I paraphrased what he said on the view.  He was outted by Elizabeth Hasselback.

Mikey Gets The Smackdown

B) Whether I saw sicko or not has nothing to do with moore making hypocritical statements while being interviewed about healthcare.  I can’t even begin to count the levels of logic you jumped over to get to that conclusion.

I’ve also never been in a country where the military has been so fucking cynically exploiting by a brewery in order to sell more beer for that matter.

But if you “Bush-Bots” or Rush Bimbo fans want more proof, got to this link, and then do some searches on your own, instead of burying your heads in the sand.

http://cthealth.server101.com/the_case_for_universal_health_care_in_the_united_states.htm

I said I wouldn’t be buried by paper. You dig out the arguments in that link and present them.

I can post three links to counter your link… bfd.. thats not making a case.

Plus, CM did just what I suggested and dug out the nuggets from his link… which you failed to address. Why should I read your link / arguments when you won’t even address someone else who posted the arguments from his link?

I have serious problems with bribery and influence-peddling. Deregulation doesn’t make bribery or influence peddling legal or ethical.

Universal healthcare [inc.] would just switch those to public employee unions, service and product suppliers, land owners, et cetera… You betcha a side dem goal is another huge group of public employees being created. A simple patronage system. ;)

And I call bullshit on this one:

Commando - 05 August 2007 07:27 PM

Also, the money we spend per year in Iraq is more than a Universal Coverage system would cost.

Considering.

In fiscal year 2008, Medicare benefits will total $454 billion, an increase of $28 billion over last year, to cover almost 45 million senior and disabled citizens.

That’s just 45 million people.  You’re advocating bringing in 250+ million more people into a similar program.  And you’re claiming it will cost less than $110 billion.

They are all the old folks / some of the most expensive to cover… but yeah, it would still cost more… and it’s even fair to count those existing costs are part of the ‘Universal’ care’s costs… as old folks are part of Universal Care… so, even now it costs more for universal care than the Iraq war without even adding the unretired.

In a controlled society, propaganda is obvious and reluctantly tolerated for fear of the negative consequences. In an open society, the hidden and integrated nature of the propaganda best convinces people that they are not being manipulated.

Hey You guys shopuld be thanking Mikey.  Isn’t he the reason this website still exists?

http://community.livejournal.com/ohnotheydidnt/12518656.html

Wasn’t this site going to go defunct because one of the administrators of it COULDN’T GET HEALTHCARE for his ailing wife, and none of you were chipping in enough $$ to help him out??

So then its Moore to the rescue, providing total coverage for his wife (Was it JimK?).  Basically proving that those whining about Universal Coverage are the ones that would benefit the most.

I heard he even washed her clothes while she was sick, for free and all, like the French typically do.

My God you are stupid commando.  How about actually reading the real timeline of events and the actuality behind everything before you run your ignorant 12 year old mouth off.

Oh c’mon, can we do this without the name calling?

But OK, I’ll bite...give me the timeline...but even then, so what?  The fact remains that the current US system keeps 20% of people w/o coverage.  Jim’s wife was one.  Luckily she got helped and is now OK.

And isn’t that the bottom line here...that we all live long, healthy lives...aka “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” without living in fear that disease could hit us during an “uninsured” time in our lives ?

This is the only industrialized country in the world where youhave to fear that possibility.

PEACE!  :)
