Sorry to hear about your wife’s aunt, Jabba. My sympathy to the family.

Hospice care is wonderful. They will keep the aunt pain-free ‘til it’s over, and prepare both her and the family for her passing. It takes a special kind of person to work under those conditions, and I’m afraid I just don’t have what it takes.

Disappointingly, I got no guns. Again. But I did get lots of requested vouchers, a great NZ travel atlas, food, wine, gourmet food basket, and a biography.
I’m also at the stage where I get more pleasure from giving. I’m not giving any of that back though!

*Note to self: Get miniature helicopters with real working guns as a gift for CM for Christmas next year*

What is a mini RC Heli-go-chopper? Is this something I should have gotten the various males in my family for Christmas?

Hey, samsgran! Take a look at this before midnight CST. Actually, you might want to look a little earlier, just in case you want to buy one (or more). These sales expire at midnight every night. Be sure to click on comments and read what some other buyers have to say about them.

I haven’t yet.  They are actually in Spokane, where my girlfriend now lives.  I got her the same.  I will be visiting this weekend though so we will probably go to Mount Spokane and try them out.

Never done it before so I am looking forward to it.

Around here I don’t know where I would go.  Somewhere further north.  Maybe Taylors Falls.  Too warm lately though (global warming, snow is melting!)

I’ve been thinking about getting some myself. Looks like there might be some good areas around

Like you say though, probably not much use this week, I’m suposed to be going ice drinking next weekend too near St. Cloud, hope it is colder up there.

Thanks everyone, for the kind words. Aunt Liz died on Thursday, and it turns out the dogs creaky leg was handily misdiagnosed; it was a broken leg due to cancer, not arthritis symptoms. So it went down today. On the kinda upside I finally treated myself to start the CiscoCNA courses so I can eventually stop doing hospice work, seemingly forever watching this once great Canadian company go to the dogs with cancerous legs, so to speak.
