Well it looks like I’m gonna finally get an inside, first-hand glimpse of how truly awful the American health care system is.
I had a mysterious seizure in my sleep Sunday night and wound up at Plano HCA, went through a bunch of tests and am currently scheduled to have an apparently large, ancient, benign tumor removed from my right temple tmw. What to expect, other than it smells like Nigeria all over to me - lasting debilitation, stasis, traction, death. If only I could’ve flown to Germany for free health care....
Good thing I’ve already learned Morse code and sign language to help me through my new life.
His avatar is really unsettling in light of this new info. I wish I had a way of finding out if he is ok.

It is? I never picked that up......and I still don’t recognise it!
Wasn’t it you that used to have as your avatar a headshot of a twenty-something white guy with dark hair? I PM’ed Biafra way back then and asked him if you had said anything about it and he said you hadn’t, and at that time I was the only one that had mentioned recognising the source of his avatar.

Nah, I don’t think so. When Biafra started using that avatar, I had no problem recognising that it was a photoshop of your avatar at the time. When I noticed it, I found a page where one of your posts directly followed his, and looked at them together, and there was no question that his was a photoshop of yours. After a few weeks of seeing no comment about it, I PM’ed him and asked if you’d said anything to him in a PM about it, and he said you hadn’t.

I think it likely that Biafra, like myself, didn’t in the slightest recognise the picture of Goran Visnjic, and assumed that maybe CM had a picture of himself as an avatar. Given the ongoing general antagonism between them, he doctored the picture in a way he thought appropriate. Or possibly he did know who Goran Visnjic is and thought the doctoring was appropriate for him. As for myself, I’ll have to google his name to find out just who the hell he is.
I looked hin up. Yeah, I recognise him now from ER. I got bored with ER several years ago and if I’ve seen him in anything else since, I don’t remember it. Possibly, Biafra didn’t recognise him either.
When I first saw the guy as CM’s avatar, I thought I knew who it was. Then when I saw the name, I figured I was wrong. But then it turned out it was who I thought it was, I just didn’t know the dude’s name. Two wrongs CAN make a right!
Wow, of course. It’s so obvious now.
I used him as my avatar simply because we stole his ER character’s name for our kid. As random and non-political as that (I’ve no idea of the actor’s political views and don’t care).
No idea what significance biafra attributed to it, but I’m willing to bet there was some!
But that also explains (somewhat) why he also started going on about avatar’s reflecting who we are etc etc. Clearly went over my head (and took off some of Goran’s).
