Bio

I’m 30+ (the plus saves having to update when I’ve forgotten that I even have a profile on here!), live in Northern England, been visiting this site for a while as an amused observer and recently felt compelled to participate in the discussion.

Not the brightest spark, but I know what I know - and if what I know is not 100%, I don’t mind being corrected, in fact I welcome it (the better informed, the better - so to speak).

I like Moorewatch as a counterpoint to Moore’s work. Personally I feel MM’s films are losing their way (F911 was way off the mark, Bowling was generally good except for the unfair ambushing of Charlton Heston at the end… far too unprofessional). With these gripes in mind, it’s important that this site exists, although more recently it’s also losing its way and becoming far too partisan. The journalism should be the target if that’s how MM’s films are presented, not the politics behind them or people who have a similar political stance.

My politics are generally left leaning. I’m a people person - a team can quite often overcome things an individual can’t.

Although I do understand the viewpoints of the right - an individual can sometimes achieve things that a committee will mess up.

I have no political party affiliation (I believe party politics are killing our democracies), but if pushed will always go ‘green’. This planet is the only place we have (I doubt we’re very close to making any significant advances in cosmic travel) and unfortunately the way we treat it is a bit like pissing in your own bathwater.
