2nd letter: She does know that Canada did pretty much the same thing with their Indians right? Yet she is proud to be Canadian?

I once noted to somebody that in a certain psychiatric hospital, the staff seemed to be asserting inappropriate power over the patients.  This person made the note “yeah, but what does it say about them that all they can get power over are mental patients.”

Hey, I am a first time poster.  I have watched this site for a long time.

It seems that one common thread to the hate mail is that they never use proper formatting.  I wonder why?

It also seems that those who want peace are the ones that hate the most.

Just my opinion.

I think I asked Red_elephant this before:  How is disagreeing with Moore hateful?  How is having a site, that is dedicated to refuting his claims hateful?  How is pointing out his lies, half-truths, and manipulation of the facts hateful?

See I look at in a different way.  I certainly don’t like MM and have a bit of dislike for those that blindly agree with him but my hate is reserved for the methods he uses to get people to agree with him.  There are plenty of people, some longtime members of this site, that can use facts (not halftruths and manipulations) to make their good points.  That is what we like.  I don’t think you will find a person here who wants there to be no debate.  Quite to the contrary we encourage it.  Not hate filled but actual intelligent debate.

However, as you can see there are plenty of recent posting that start with hate and as you pointed out when one hates, more is returned.  This site is not “hating” MM but we certainly aren’t going to ignore the crap being thrown in our direction either.  So the more intelligent debate we get, the better.  The more postings from the hate-filled followers of MM that appear on this site the more hate that will be sent back in their directions.  Seems only fair if you ask me.

Kinda mirrors that whole way of thinking huh?  I have no responsibility.  No responsibility to better yourself, no responsibility for your actions, etc.  I’m sure this ‘elephant’ is perfectly well educated, so I’m not addressing them specifically. 

It just sums up the attitude of “I’m helpless, I need the government to bail me out and take care of me.  And if I misbehave, please remember that it is not my fault someone or something made me do it.”

So we’re against people who are against manipulating. Yet, the webmaster of this board said this:

Well, Mrs. 11.50 would probably be able to make more money if she had a college education. She would probably have a better job that provides better insurance, or enough money to get her own insurance.  Maybe she would still have a future if she didn’t decide to have a kid and get married so young.  Another good point was about how she would have more money if she didn’t spend money on getting out of the country so often.  But hey, when you do get out, enjoy your free healthcare.  Just don’t try to become a Kiwi.  They’ll take a look at your arthritis and decide that you’d be too great a burden on their health care system.  Go to someplace with free medical care.  Hopefully if you get sick you won’t mind waiting in pain, because while your care will be free, you WILL wait.  Thats the nature of the beast.  But hey, at least you’ll be able to afford it, right?  Oh, but you don’t have a college education, so who knows if you’ll be able to find a job that pays as much as the one you have now.  And don’t forget the increased tax rates you’ll have the pleasure of paying in any country with socialized medicine.  How do you think the government pays for all that free healthcare?

And as well, I have to assume she is using some of OUR money to go on these international jaunts as making less than 25,000 a year she is probably collecting government benefits, and at the very least isn’t paying any taxes, but actually getting money the rest of us pay in income taxes given to her. For those that don’t understand taxes in the US, someone making that amount generally gets back more from the government than they actually payed in when they get their tax refund.

Not having a “college education” really doesn’t preclude someone from making a decent living or even making a good salary or even becoming wealthy.

In the end, it’s usually intelligence and a good work ethic that determine where someone will end up in life, not how much they make in their early twenties or whether they are a college graduate or not.

A college education can open a lot of doors, but having one doesn’t mean you are guaranteed anything.  The best way to make money is to either inherit it or marry it.  I should know . . . I did neither.
