I’m sorry, I can’t help it

This post contains another “WTF” moment from a certain attention-seeking mother....mother.  If you are fed up...skip it.  No complaining in the comments.

If you’re wondering just what could make me slap my head and go ‘What in THE FUCK IS SHE THINKING?”...read on.

Holy attention-whoring-seeking, Batman!  This has to be the ultimate in media whoredom attention-seeking behavior.

image

That woman is pretending to sleep on her dead son’s grave.

FOR A FUCKING PHOTO OP IN VANITY FAIR.

How could *anyone* still defend this shit?  Grief doesn’t drive people to do this much for this long this publically...not in sane, rational people who aren’t desperate for the spotlight.  That photo is the best evidence one could have that this woman doesn’t give a rat’s furry ass about her son’s sacrifice...this is, and always has been, about her life finally having meaning, and she is working harder than some Hollywood stars do to keep the spotlight on herself for as long as she can.

That’s disgusting and pathetic.  I’d like to see one of her fans defend that photo.  To pretend to sleep on your dead son’s grave for a photo op in Vanity Fair...how is that defensible in any way?  I’d say even Moore might draw the line there...I know he’d edit and say and write a lot of things, but I’m not sure even he would go this far.

She actually and truly disgusts me as a human being.

I fear that the next step will be that she forgives Sadr and his goons publicly with a hug/embrace, and both blame Bush for Casey’s death together.

European Liberal Leftie Pinko Commie agrees with Moorewatch shocker.

LONDON, UK - In a sudden and unexpected blow to readers of Kos and DU everywhere, ilovecress, euro pinkie agitator of right wing blogs today sensationally admitted - “That woman has fucking lost it. She’s pretending to sleep on her dead sons grave for a spread in vanity fair for fucks sake. Doesn’t she realise that now she is literally stomping on Casey Sheehans grave?” The experience was unsettling for the life-long labour supporter, and critic of the war in Iraq. “I went to my moonbat apology handbook, and came up blank,” he said, “but as it’s the latest one issued to readers of DU, I have to conclude that she simply is an absolute barking moonbat, who does about as much for the anti-war movement as George Galloway ass-raping saddam wearing an ‘Allah licked my cornhole’ t-shirt.” Michael Moore, the ‘documentary filmmaker who has been described as both ‘fat’ and ‘gigantic’ by left and right wing alike refused to comment, but mumbled something about Karl Rove.

After further reguritation it does appear that that may have been photoshopped together and as much as I dislike her, could it have been faked? Hopefully not even she is THAT stupid and clueless.

I agree from first impressions it may have been shopped. However

Hopefully not even she is THAT stupid and clueless.

on past and present form she does appear to be that clueless.

yeah, definitely chopped (though she’s still a complete idiot).  look at the inconsistencies of the amount of shadows cast by the tombstones, her feet and the flowers at her head.

Posted by Desperado  on  12/14/2005  at  02:18 PM (Link to this comment | )

whoa whered the photoshopped topic come from, and shouldnt she be outraged if it was photoshopped.  Vanity must have at least told her they were putting her in the magazine, right?  and what does that caption say?

Oh yeah i agree desperado. Just confirms her idiocy.

She probably laid down on a futon or something in a studio. You wouldn’t expect her to actually get dirty for her media-whoring, would you?

So Jim…

Even though you deleted my last post about Cindy, it seems what you are basically saying is that you agree with me!

It does look tweaked upon reviewing it.  But without a better image...anyone confirm this in Vanity Fair?

Posted by Raging Boxer  on  12/14/2005  at  05:47 PM (Link to this comment | )

This is the closest thing I have seen to necrophelia I have ever seen. What the hell is she doing? And what is with that smile???
I’m sure Casey right now is saying, “Mom! You’re embarrasing me and my memory...again.”
Pretty soon you’re going to hear that she has conversations with the grave.

Posted by Consigliere  on  12/14/2005  at  06:18 PM (Link to this comment | )

go to Mikey’s site. There’s a new message from Cindy plus that photospread. It’s not photoshopped.

Posted by Nightwing43  on  12/14/2005  at  06:22 PM (Link to this comment | )

Okay, I’ll say it again: forget about her!  This is what she wants: make a provocative statement and then act like an innocent victim of abuse when criticized.  That is the synopsis of the radical left’s playbook these days.

Here’s who we need to criticize: Vanity Fair.  We expect this histroinc, tasteless garbage from Lady Pruneface, but a mainstreem publication like VF?  I know it (like oh I don’t know EVERY major publication almost) has liberal leanings, but like you said, this goes too far!  Those of us who read it should boycott it.  We should write letters to the editor.  Cindy Sheehan WANTS our anger because she’s happiest if she can present herself as a victim of our “bullying” (read: any criticizm by any conservative about any liberal) but Vanity Fair, like all corporate entities, has someone upstairs who doesn’t like to lose the almighty dollar.

Ah, I always get terms mixed up. Honestly...I can’t believe this. Does anyone know what the caption in the picture says?
A guess: “Cindy Sheehan wakes up every day on her son’s grave site while her son spins in his grave every second his mother opens her mouth.”

Posted by pjwarez  on  12/14/2005  at  11:07 PM (Link to this comment | )

Well it does make one wonder! If she lays on top of her son when he’s dead, what the heck was she doing while he was alive????

Dear God… I have to puke!!

Okay, this incest stuff is going too far.  I loath Sheehan, but let’s not say this about Casey.  I mean, I know you’re kidding, but let’s leave the poor-taste up to her.

Why is Morris still here?

Posted by JimK  on  12/15/2005  at  01:23 AM (Link to this comment | )

Buzzion: Good question.  Consider that problem solved.

Just in case anyone took anything the idiot said seriously...who here believes that the President sat in the Oval Office and said ‘Yes, I think we should fly dead soldiers in to Dover from Iraq in metal coffins draped in flags, but when they are transferred to civialn airliners for shipment to their families, let’s take them out of the sealed coffins and put them in cardboard.  That’s one of my best ideas EVER!”

IF that is even happening...the fucking President didn’t make the decision, assnuggets.  In fact, the only thing I can imagine would make ANY human make that decision is weight considerations...and that would be the airline, not the White House, you ignorant fucking retards.

And now back to being goggle-eyed and the disgusting turn Sheehan’s “grief” has taken.

i agree with wally and think that these sheehan stories should keep comin.  Moore is a huuuge supporter of hers and by showing how messed up she is would be a good way to show the kinda crap he supports, and if this pic was on mikeys website then i dont see why it doesnt relate to him

haha. its fun making fun of her. and i always enjoy spreading these ridiculous articles to people.

There are literally no words to describe how sick in my soul I am at seeing this.

Every time I get to a point in the antics of these folks where, as an Ex-Liberal, I say: “OK, THIS is where these folks--people I thought I knew--will stop. THIS is where the common human decency that binds us together will kick in, and they’ll come to their sense and give this up"--I am then given a face-full of some new depravity.

All I can say is that I’m torn: I’m sick of Sheehan, but the more and more she does this, the more and more people see who she and her following (Moore included--gah, showcasing it on his site...) really are.

Kudos to my brother for noting that Casey’s mom gleeped this pose from Whoredonna in the movie Truth or Dare when she laid face down on her mother’s grave.  My bro also noted that it seemed a little more sincere when Madonna did it.  How sad’s that?  From one attention seeking media whore to another…

Posted by Nightwing43  on  12/15/2005  at  11:42 AM (Link to this comment | )

Hey, at least she actually visits the dead soldiers, instead of shipping them as cargo at night, because she doesn’t want to acknowledge their existence like a certain Commander-in-Chief.

Of course Morris blames Bush for that as if it was all his idea.  By the way, Morris, how many soldiers’ graves have you visited?  How many times have you told people to stop harrassing military recruiters?  How many charities for the families of fallen soldiers have you given?

Pathetic.

We should write letters to the editor.

I was thinking the same thing when reading the VF blurb on Sheehan.  Most folk here have the relevant facts about Sheehan and her posturing at their fingertips, and could call ‘shenanigans’ on the “grieving mother” BS in measured tones.  VF isn’t usually shy in publishing critical letters so there’s a good chance of getting through.

Posted by TomerMMHA  on  12/15/2005  at  12:26 PM (Link to this comment | )

Jimmy, you’re dead wrong.  Moore will support her no matter what.  The guy has no limits.  I’m truly shocked you think for a moment Moore’s standards are too high for this thing.  He’s done a lot worse.

Posted by culturalbaggage  on  12/15/2005  at  01:50 PM (Link to this comment | )

Guys:

I got a nastygram from VF simply for linking to this post.
If they’re THAT worried about the fallout from this latest nod to Al Qaeda, maybe they should consider shooting for balance, instead of expending so much energy trying to silence their critics?

Sorry, but that image is photoshopped.  That was my first impression as the image came up (I’m a graphic designer).  It looks as if someone took two shots and stitched them together.  Even if Sheehan was in the shot when they did that, the lighting on her does not match the lighting in the photo. The shadows at her feet don’t make any sense either.  I definitely challenge VF that it’s not photoshopped.

Culturalbaggage, before giving in to VF, look into your fair rights use.  If you give credit and are using the material in a way that is scrutiny or news reporting, you should have every right to display the image.

I have just seen a small article in ZOO (a uk lads mag 16-29 dec edition page 21).

Entitled. Very Cross Lady.

It says Casey’s mom wants to see Prime Minister Blair to protest at his stance on the Iraq war. If he refuses she says she will “nail” herself to the Downing Street Gates.(It is probably the one thing involving her I would go to see.)

It says that it is a very festive act. A martyr nailing themselves to a cross. Makes you realise what christmas is all about.

It goes on.

All we need now is 3 wise men to live there.

Although knowing the magazine and her it was a misquote.

What a shame.

The shadows at her feet don’t make any sense either.  I definitely challenge VF that it’s not photoshopped.

Actually, the difference in lighting could be caused by the flash of the camera.  (its common to use flash on sunny days to diminish harsh shadows, which exaplins why the lighting appears different on Sheehan than the background)

I will say that the photo was definatly touched up though....but probably not composited.

Posted by JRLinGREENBAY  on  12/15/2005  at  02:50 PM (Link to this comment | )

Is anybody asking themselves:  “Did Michael Moore receive the same letter for HIS use of the photograph on HIS website?”

Posted by MartiniDreams  on  12/15/2005  at  03:52 PM (Link to this comment | )

There would be a shadow from any flash or light strong enough to create that effect if that were the case. Especially from the angle the image was, supposedly, taken from.
No, it’s definitely an amature job of photoshopping.  I blew up two areas of the photo on my site.  (martinidreams.com)
Also notice the flowers setting behind the stone directly behind her, the shadows that should be on them are not there.  Several of the flowers are too bright for their distance from the camera.  Looks like someone tried to make it look like there were more flowers set around the area.

Posted by iggy21  on  12/15/2005  at  04:25 PM (Link to this comment | )

Not in professional photography,.. its very possible that a fill flash was used,… its not meant as a key light like a disposable cameras flash…

Also, while im not completely dismissing the pShopped thoery, I do agree that it definately was (At the very least) touced up, which could have included brightening he contrast of the flowers, adjusting the levels of sheehan (especially in here face where they probably had to manually get rid of shadows), and generally lightening shadows to avoid too many dark spots.... id really like to see the full size image…

Posted by iggy21  on  12/15/2005  at  04:39 PM (Link to this comment | )

by the way, the ‘cropped’ marks that you show a close up of in your site is the center of the page crease…

I really cant say definately its a Pshopped peice unles i see the actaul print…

Posted by MartiniDreams  on  12/15/2005  at  04:51 PM (Link to this comment | )

I’d like to see the actual print too because I believe there would have been more distortion there (as opposed to the cut off limbs) if that were the case.

Posted by iggy21  on  12/15/2005  at  05:43 PM (Link to this comment | )

you can follow the crease all the ay up the page....

Posted by Swissboy  on  12/15/2005  at  07:56 PM (Link to this comment | )

completly off topic…

I would be very interested in the oppinion of the posters of MOOREWATCH about the Stanley Tookie Williams case. It is a good opportunity for debate and it’s not totaly off-topic since Michael Moore had a button that linked to the save tookie web site on his home page, i guess we can assume he therefore stood on the anti DP site of the debate. (pretty obvious)

It gets a lot of publicity here in Swiss. so i’d like to get a general idea of the american perception of this thing.

Obviouly i am not trying to boss around or direct the people that run this site and if you feel its irrelevant to the spirit of the site or just plain not interesting then just let me know.

Thanks in advance for any responses

FYI, Swissboy:

In English, La Suisse is Switzerland, not Swiss.

Swiss is Suisse.

Oh, and Tookie Williams now has a 0% chance of murdering anyone else in or out of prison.
