And affected absolutely nothing. Youth voter turnout did not skyrocket, and in fact some credit his asinine antics with sealing the win for GWB - again.

This oughtta be a study in failure if I’ve ever seen one.

Well, I just found the IMDB link for the movie (*smacks self on the head for not thinking of that earlier*). Looks like Moore has two movies in the works, this one which was originally entitled “Uprising” and an actual sequel to “Fahrenheit 9/11” called “Fahrenheit 9/11 1/2” (wow, that’s awkward to type!). I just looked through Moore’s site again, and there isn’t even a mention of “Captain Mike Across America” or his appearance at the Toronto Film Festival.

I am finding this stranger and stranger. Moore has never shied away from publicity and always promotes himself and his appearances. Why not this one? Inquiring minds want to know…

Hmmm… interesting theory. I like it. I’ll be curious if and when we the people will get to see this film.

I believe that more and more people (including liberals) are starting to see Michael Moore for what he really is.  A very wealthy socialist, who only cares about what goes into his wallet.

I would be interested in finding out if this is being distributed by one of Mike’s affiliates, or if it was acquired by a third party.

Because that would certainly make plenty of sense.

He’s not going to stump for a film he has no financial interest in, especially since it will likely serve only to further illustrate his irrelevance and failure during the 2004 election cycle.

Hrmmm.. strike that. Seems the Weinstein Co is distributing it theatrically in the U.S. after all.

Okay, I’m stumped. Why wouldn’t Moore be promoting this, then?
Because it’s still in production, perhaps?
Maybe it’s just too soon, and will be strategically released and promoted later, when it will be more effective?
(Like, say, during the final weeks of the 2008
campaign cycle?)

Before I would make comments about any of those celebrities mentioned, I would have to see the movie and ensure that footage of those celebrities was legitimate. Moore has made it a trademark to take other people’s work and twist it, or take his own film and edit it to mislead people.

Besides, why would I be worried about Roseanne Barr? Has she said anything important...ever?

I have visited Michael Moore’s website many times.  I see that he encourages people to protest and possibly to get arrested. I have always wondered, has he ever backed up his own words?  Has he ever been arrested at a protest?  If so, where is his mug shot?  Has he ever been to a protest?  Can someone please answer.

Even while he prepares “Sicko” for June 2007 release, Moore has created “The Great 2004 Slacker Uprising,” a new movie made with footage surrounding the 2004 U.S. presidential election. While already working on “Sicko,” which will be released by The Weinstein Company, Moore went to Bob and Harvey Weinstein with the idea for this post-election movie. It will be released on DVD in late ‘07, after “Sicko” but before the 2008 U.S. presidential election. In its opening moments, “The Great 2004 Slacker Uprising” is described on screen as the story of “one filmmaker’s attempt to turn things around,” but festival technical problems marred Moore’s attempts to show segments from the film, ultimately forcing him to cancel the clips.

Maybe Moore doesn’t want to offset the DVD release of Sicko, just guessing.

For those that are from Toronto, or coming to the festival, “Captain” will have two public Screenings.  Sept 7 at 6pm.  (Ryerson theatre) and Saturday the 8th at 11:45am (Scotiabank.. aka: The Paramount).

Both are pretty big theatres, and since the two screenings are so close together it would not surprise me if Mr. Moore wasn’t there in person.
