Socialist Paradise Update, Part XLI
Canadians are coming to America for neonatal care of premature babies. I guess we could be like every other country and let babies who weigh under 500 g just die. That would boost our life expectancy and infant mortality numbers and make sure those Canadians stay put in their socialist paradise.
And on the other side of the world, Australian surgery clinics are shutting down to save money.
The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons accused NSW Health yesterday of using maintenance as an excuse to cut costs by greatly reducing the operating theatre time and intensive care beds needed for elective surgery. It said the number of surgeons leaving the public system had risen because they were fed up with budget constraints.
Mmm. I can’t wait until we get this. Of course, Captain Mike will have lots of money to pay for his own private care. But the rest of slobs can look forward to when these articles are not about foreign countries, but about ours.

This one bores me already.
Jambi, remove it. Bring me a troll with more piss and vinegar next time!
Yawn… I have visited a few… and I hope to never become seriously ill while visiting in the future…
if you all think that the “socialist paradises” in Canada, Britain, Cuba, etc., are so bad, why don’t you go visit those countries?
Where is the logic in that statement? I understand what you’re trying to say, but if you think something is bad, why would you want to try it?
If you’re supposed to be so open-minded
Evidently you’ve mistaken us for someone else. Democrats/Liberals/Progressives are supposed to be the open-minded, intelligent, cultured and compassionate ones. We’re the close-minded, stupid, baby-eating right-wingers… or hadn’t you heard?
I wonder, if you all think that the “socialist paradises” in Canada, Britain, Cuba, etc., are so bad, why don’t you go visit those countries? If you’re supposed to be so open-minded, take a vacation to the countries and see for yourself what conditions are really like. Maybe you’ll realize why the “Greatest Canadian” as voted by us Canadians is the guy who founded our public health care system. At least Moore had the nerve to try out other countries’ health care systems (however flawed his observations may be; I don’t know, I’ve never been to other countries outside of Canada) rather than just relying on opportunistic examples that serve your position while ignoring everything else.
