Terrorist-loving, Dictator hugging “Peace Mom” to protest in Germany
One soldier’s opinion on Mama Moonbat’s planned protest:
One soldier, who recently returned from Iraq, did give his name but didn’t have much to say about Sheehan.
“Anything I would have to say about her, you couldn’t print,” Army Staff Sgt. Mark Genthner said.
Thank you, Sargeant. We read you five by five.
At least someone is planning to step up.

Comments
Hasn’t the press, and even the WORLD for that matter, gotten a little tired of her by now? I keep holding onto the naive belief that if we just ignore her long enough, she will just go away.
Gotta hand it to the guy for prostesting the protestor, though. Wish he knew how much many of us can’t be there in person, but are with him and his group in person.
When she is the least worst barking mad moonbat in town, who else is the left going to latch on to? Harry Belefonte? Al Sharpton? Jesse Jackson? Sheehan at least is not a blatant grifter, nor gave us brilliant lyrics like hey mister tallyman tally me banana.
She is still a vile human being, but compared to the rest of the outspoken uber-left....
Alright, protesting outside of a hospital for wounded soldiers...that’s hard to defend. What exactly is the point of doing that? What can the soldiers do about the war anyway?
I don’t believe in war, but this doesn’t help at all. This makes the anti-war movement look like psychopaths.
We have a group of protestors in my city who thankfully dont go to the extremes to protest funerals or hospitals. They protest on a busy street corner every weekend (which i have to drive by) But they all hold up signs like “Give peace a chance”, “End this stupid war”, “WWJD"… etc. Maybe its jsut me, but i find everyone one of these argmuments silly and completely void of any reationality. (maybe i should join them and hold a sign that says “Read the Iraq War Resolution"… think theyd noticed me?
Since you like to quote soldiers, here’s a shout out from the reality-based community:
Some highlights:
Almost 90% think war is retaliation for Saddam’s role in 9/11 - a role which is and always has been non-existent, except in the imaginations of the neocons.
29% of the respondents, serving in various branches of the armed forces, said the U.S. should leave Iraq “immediately,” while another 22% said they should leave in the next six months. Another 21% said troops should be out between six and 12 months, while 23% said they should stay “as long as they are needed.”
Three quarters of the troops had served multiple tours and had a longer exposure to the conflict: 26% were on their first tour of duty, 45% were on their second tour, and 29% were in Iraq for a third time or more.
So basically, while I’m sure there are many soldiers who despise Sheehan for her showboating and grandstanding tactics, an overwhelming majority agree with her basic ideal of ending the war and bringing the troops home.
Sorry, I know you’re going to say this is off topic, but it’s not like there’s any chance in hell this would ever be discussed here without me bringing it up. And really, I just can’t resist:
Some highlights:
Americans are also overwhelmingly opposed to the Bush-backed deal giving a Dubai-owned company operational control over six major U.S. ports. Seven in 10 Americans, including 58 percent of Republicans, say they’re opposed to the agreement.
Two out of three Americans said they do not think President Bush has responded adequately to the needs of Katrina victims. Only 32 percent approve of the way President Bush is responding to those needs.
Mr. Bush’s overall job rating has fallen to 34 percent, down from 42 percent last month. Fifty-nine percent disapprove of the job the president is doing.
For the first time in this poll, most Americans say the president does not care much about people like themselves.
Just 30 percent approve of how Mr. Bush is handling the Iraq war, another all-time low.
By two to one, the poll finds Americans think U.S. efforts to bring stability to Iraq are going badly – the worst assessment yet of progress in Iraq.
Even on fighting terrorism, which has long been a strong suit for Mr. Bush, his ratings dropped lower than ever. Half of Americans say they disapprove of how he’s handling the war on terror, while 43 percent approve.
Just 18 percent said they had a favorable view of the vice president, down from 23 percent in January.
So Bush is at 34% and Cheney is at 18%.
Thankfully, Americans are starting to see the damage that the Bush Administration has done, within its own borders and throughout the world.
Thankfully, Americans are starting to wake up to the fact that their country and their quality of life has been made worse by the policies of the Bush Administration.
Thankfully, the views of a majority of the contributers on this site are now shared by a very small and ever-shrinking minority of Americans.
Thankfully - and most importantly - this is all happening in the runup to the midterm elections elections.
i never trust polls, in fact, i never trusted polls that said Bush’s apporval rating was at an all time low or even an all time high. My reasoning, they are always biased, especially when a group is set out to acheive a certain answer. THe only way I will ever trust a poll is to know the questions asked and how they were worded. Can you locate the quesitons?
of course trusting a poll shows you are gullible (ie, 2004 election)....
in case you dont remember, all polls pointed to Kerry winning because they were slanted and biased around that opinion.
Oh the irony of it all, a Canadian liberal preaching to us miss guided dumb ass’s here at moorewatch.com And with an election coming up we should be shaking in our boots, what with the left gaining ground and all that. But wait,…… what happened up north there Mr Hoser,……. will the same happen here? Will the USA be awash in liberals, or will the status quo remain? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Exactly iggy…
This poll is from the network that had Rather Gate. Remember that one Can. libby? Probably not cause you remember only what that one way brain wants too. EH!!
OK here’s my list of questions regarding the validity of this little poll that canadian liberal is quoting here:
1. When did the alleged troops have time to answer questions for a poll when they are so busy fighting and working over there?
2. Considering that the liberals have been screaming that our troops are “oppressed” and not allowed to make comments against the war or the President, how then were they able to answer the questions on this alleged poll?
3. Which troops were actually polled? Infantry? Support Services? Mobile Units? etc.
4. What were the actual dates and locations of these polling questions?
I suspect this is a bogus poll dreamt up by a bunch of liberal anti-war hippie Moore-worshipping Sheehan-loving commies!
And I challenge canadian hoser liberal to prove otherwise!
One more question:
Exactly how many troops were actually polled?
100?
1000?
10?
that number makes a huge difference when you are just making statements like
“one in four” or using percentages.
I could go out to the local bases here in Hawaii and ask 10 soldiers whether they support the war. If 7 say they do, then I can honestly say that
70% of the soldiers polled support the war!
The survey included 944 military respondents interviewed at several undisclosed locations throughout Iraq (what that really means is that they went to a few of the really large bases – probably Baghdad, Victory and Balad). Also there is a huge difference between active duty and National Guard/Reserve troops, which is to be expected. Since the article doesn’t actually have the questions, we have no idea if they were straight forward or designed to elicit a certain response (anyone who thinks that most polls are not designed to obtain a particular response is living in fantasy world). Besides the fact that it was a Zogby poll (not known for their accuracy and unbiased questions and Zogby himself is an Islamic apologist), the “real” poll of the troops is shown by the huge re-enlistment rates of those who are or are going to be deployed.
And, while we are giving thanks, thankfully Americans have a military willing and able to fight Islamofascists and, unlike a certain large country to the north, doesn’t have to hire other people to fly their troops (the few it has) to join the fight (the even fewer it sends).
BTW, quoting a CBS poll on anything is like quoting Stalin on agricultural management theory or Saddam on human rights.
my guess is the questions may have been worded like “When would you like to go back home” (which doesnt coorelate to whether or not the troops feel if we should be there)… I honestly dont think anyone WANTS to stay over in Iraq, But of all the soldier I know, they all WANT to get the job done, and if that means staying there, then they are going to do it, no exceptions.
to prove how pointless polls are in 1984 1 poll had Reagan and Mondale nearly dead even about 4 months before the election
i thought the job was already done...mission accomplished right?
CBS, who polled almost 400 Democrats vs. nearly 300 Republicans, then interpreted the “data” to count the entire nation.
Zogby, who is a self-admitted fervent Democrat and the creator of the “exit poll” scandal-that-wasn’t and tried to sway voters in polling precints that had not yet closed.
That’s who you’re bringing, canadian_liberal? THAT’S you big ammunition?
Yeah. Good luck with convincing *anyone* around here those numbers have meaning in the real world.
Valentineo: If you’re here to troll, you will not be here long. I will not issue another warning.
Also there is a huge difference between active duty and National Guard/Reserve troops, which is to be expected.
NOt to mention that reporters are ALL, and I mean almost every single one of them to a man and woman, in the green zones, and only the REMFS have time to answer their bullshit questions. Meanwhile the men and women who are fighting, building schools, humping equipment and food to remote locations to assist villages long forgotten by Saddam and the UN...those people have a whole other perspective on Iraq, one pieces of crap like Moore and his ilk and the legacy media don’t want you to hear because it betrays their narrative.
They’re humping food and equipment now?! That’s just disgusting.
As if humping the prisoners at Abu Grab-ass wasn’t enough. Just disgusting.
Polls are good for one thing: toilet paper.
One reason I like George W. is that he doesn’t follow polls. Our public has been duped into believing that Bush’s approval rating is at an all-time low. This rating coming from a Liberal media. Bush’s approval rating was at 93% after 9/11. Now this same person’s ratings are at an all-time low.
Mark my words, when elections come around at the end of this year and again in two years, magically his numbers will rise again to about 50%. The media loves to ask questions that give them the reponses they are looking for. Thus they will start conducting polls that start make George W. look good again. With a 50% approval rating, that will make elections close and will make for even BETTER press!
Newspapers, tv news stations, etc .are all in it for one reason: MONEY!!! Ratings and polls give them that boost to help sell their papers and increase viewers to their stations.
They’re humping food and equipment now?! That’s just disgusting.
As if humping the prisoners at Abu Grab-ass wasn’t enough. Just disgusting.
If this is supposed to be sarcasm, you have failed worse than John Kerry.
Now that you have made this statement, if you even try to say you “support the troops” I will take the lead in calling your bullshit.
While you’re at it, why don’t you go hug a suicide bomber and tell him what a swell guy you think he is?
i thought the job was already done...mission accomplished right?
Yep, the mission to get in there and take out Saddam was accomplished. Now we have a new mission, to help the Iraqis to establish their own democracy void of religious or ethnic persecution and with the freedoms and liberties that liberals in our country enjoy and take full advantage of(even abuse at times) yet claim they don’t have.
Sit down little one and let me explain something to you. The real military is not like your G.I. Joe cartoons and videogames. In the real world, there is no one mission with a “Boss Enemy” you defeat with power ups and magical crystals and shit! In the real world, the military will have one mission after another.
WWII: first mission was to stop the axis powers from global domination. Then the mission was to stabilize Europe.
See how that works? I hope that wasn’t too technical for you. OK, nap time now little one.
yngcelt: Are you kidding me? Or are you just crazy? It was a play on JimK’s post. Relax. Take a deep breath. Take your meds. Go throw rocks at a guy who’s not putting a “Support The Troops” magnet on his car. Do whatever you do to make yourself feel better.
Don’t worry, you won’t hear me say I support the troops. Although, how exactly are we supposed to support the troops? What are we supposed to do, exactly?
Maybe I will go hug a terrorist. Maybe that’s why he’s a terrorist. Because nobody ever hugged him.
Although, how exactly are we supposed to support the troops?
How about writing letters, sending magazines, candy, food, toiletries, games, or whatever—the list is endless? You can visit wounded and injured troops in hospitals. You can even take the easy way out and just donate money. If you don’t know any personally, google “support the troops” or visit some milliblogs and you’ll find enough organizations to help you do it.
You know what the best part is? You don’t even have to put a “Support The Troops” magnet on your car!
Here’s where you can support the troops:
anysoldier.com
it’s a great site created by a soldier who is serving over there. You can send care packages, letters and cards to soldiers who don’t have family or whose families can’t afford to send things to them. It’s an opportunity to support troops who aren’t getting the morale boosters they really need.
Here are some other ways that my wife and I support the troops:
1. Invite a military family whose soldier is going, in or coming back from Iraq to your home for dinner. Especially invite the family over while the soldier is away so they have the opportunity to get out of their house and be around other people.
2. When in a restaurant and you see someone in uniform or they are obviously a soldier, anonymously pay for their dinner and tip.
3. If you know a family whose soldier is away at war, go over and mow their yard for them. Bake some cookies and take them over. Clean their gutters. Offer to baby sit their kids so the mom can have a spa or beauty parlor day.
4. When a soldier returns, have him or her over for a barbecue. Invite several military families. They might not know each other and you can help develop those connections.
5. If you see yellow ribbons and a “Welcome Home” sign outside of a military family’s home, go up to the door, knock, ask for the soldier and then just give him or her a hug and say thank you for everything that you do. Then walk away. Don’t look back. I did this recently and later I heard about it through the coconut telegraph (Hawaiian grapevine). The family was so shocked and touched. After I did it, apparently others who heard about it did the same thing.
The idea is not just to put a sticker on your car or a magnet and leave it at that. Think about how citizens supported troops during WWII. Think of these people as yoru fellow Americans and not just “military families”. Consider that when a soldier is away, the family is left behind missing a part of the whole. By taking care of that fmaily while the soldier is away can help to alleviate some of the stress he or she is having by being so far from home.
By donating through anysoldier.com, you can help to support soldiers who are away from home and have no connection to anybody. Imagine being over there with death hanging over you at any moment and you don’t even get so much as a post card! What do you think that would do to your morale?
I love it when somebody asks me “how do you support the troops?” I lay it all out and then ask what they do. Usually the response is silence.
You guys are hilarious. Do you really think a majority of Americans think as you do? Man that’s funny. Uh, I hate to burst your bubble, but the tipping point is only visible now in the rearview mirror. The Bush Administration disaster can’t be glossed over anymore with simple platitudes and talking points, and Americans are finally starting to see the truth.
Imagine that; people don’t like when their country’s Vice-President authorizes the leak of an undercover CIA agent’s identity for political revenge.
They don’t like it when their President authorizes the government to spy on them without a court order or the slightest oversight.
They don’t like it when the Republican leadership in Washington is the most corrupt and self-serving in history, with dozens and dozens of serious investigations under way or about to be.
They don’t like it when their government is caught completely unprepared for a natural disaster that anyone with half a brain could see coming, and they don’t like it when 6 months later, their government has mostly forgotten about the people more severely affected.
They don’t like it when over 4 years after 9/11 the government’s own internal reviews have found it woefully unprepared to respond to the threat of another attack.
They don’t like it when their President authorized the control of major shipping ports - probably the most vulnerable access points into the country - to a government controlled company in a country that recognized the Taliban, but does not recognize Israel.
They don’t like it when the country has to spend half a trillion dollar and counting, not to mention the immense loss of innocent lives and needless suffering, on a war that should never have been started in the first place - remember Wolfowitz saying the war would be self-financing? Yeah I guess we’ll just add that to all the other lies we were told:
“The evidence indicates that Iraq is reconstituting its nuclear weapons program ... Iraq has attempted to purchase high-strength aluminum tubes and other equipment needed for gas centrifuges, which are used to enrich uranium for nuclear weapons.”—President Bush, Oct. 7, 2002, in Cincinnati.
“The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa.”—President Bush, Jan.28, 2003, in the State of the Union address.
“We believe [Saddam] has, in fact, reconstituted nuclear weapons.”—Vice President Cheney on March 16, 2003 on “Meet the Press.”
“[The CIA possesses] solid reporting of senior-level contacts between Iraq and al-Qaeda going back a decade.”—CIA Director George Tenet in a written statement released Oct. 7, 2002 and echoed in that evening’s speech by President Bush.
“We’ve learned that Iraq has trained al-Qaeda members in bomb-making and poisons and deadly gases ... Alliance with terrorists could allow the Iraqi regime to attack America without leaving any fingerprints.”—President Bush, Oct. 7.
“We have also discovered through intelligence that Iraq has a growing fleet of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles that could be used to disperse chemical or biological weapons across broad areas. We are concerned that Iraq is exploring ways of using these UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles] for missions targeting the United States.”—President Bush, Oct. 7.
“We have seen intelligence over many months that they have chemical and biological weapons, and that they have dispersed them and that they’re weaponized and that, in one case at least, the command and control arrangements have been established.”—President Bush, Feb. 8, 2003, in a national radio address.
“Our conservative estimate is that Iraq today has a stockpile of between 100 and 500 tons of chemical weapons agent. That is enough to fill 16,000 battlefield rockets.”—Secretary of State Colin Powell, Feb. 5 2003, in remarks to the UN Security Council.
“We know where [Iraq’s WMD] are. They’re in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south, and north somewhat.”—Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, March 30, 2003, in statements to the press.
“Yes, we found a biological laboratory in Iraq which the UN prohibited.”—President Bush in remarks in Poland, published internationally June 1, 2003.
All of these statements are lies. And if you disagree then that’s fine. But if you think you are in the majority among your fellow citizens, then you are suffering from a serious case of denial.
And I can perfectly understand your hostility. You can feel the country tilting to the left and you can feel your grip on power loosening, and this must be very frightening for you. It must not be a nice feeling to know that by the end of this year the House and Senate will have Democratic majorities, followed two years after by a Democratic President. I can really see how that might be very disconcerting to you.
But don’t stress too much. I’m sure in 8-12 years the natural pendulum will swing back to the right and you’ll get your country back. In the meantime, sit back and enjoy the flight. I hear they’re showing a good movie this time, “Clinton 2: Hilary’s Revenge”. Although it’s supposed to be a comedy, many of you will consider it a horror.
canadian_liberal, you seem to be the one who is all worked up here. Do you really think anyone here gives two s**ts about your far-left talking points or what you think? If they did, they’d be doing the same thing you do over at places like Daily Kos and the Huffington Post—oh wait, they delete posts of people they don’t agree with ... never mind.
Yea, there’s nothing like a foreigner telling Americans that they “are finally starting to see the truth.” That’s rich coming from an ideologue like you who cherry-picks to make a point but leaves out everything that doesn’t support it or actually proves it wrong.
BTW, you better hope that Hillary doesn’t win because if so, the next time you need an operation and can’t afford the 6 months or longer on your national health care waiting list, you won’t be able to come to the U.S. because she will have given the Americans the same crap system Canadians now have. Then you’ll have to go to Mexico for that operation!
Man I love CBSNews.

hey canadian liberal, you like quotes, do you? How do you like THESE quotes?:
“One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line.” --President Bill Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998
“If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction program.” --President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998
“Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face.” --Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998
“He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983.” --Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998
“[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq’s refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs.” Letter to President Clinton, signed by:—Democratic Senators Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others, Oct. 9, 1998
“Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process.” -Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998
“Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies.”—Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999
“There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has reinvigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies.” Letter to President Bush, Signed by:—Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), and others, Dec 5, 2001
“We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and th! e means of delivering them.”—Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002
“We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country.”—Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002
“Iraq’s search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power.”—Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002
“We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction.”—Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002
“The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons...”—Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002
“I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force—if necessary—to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security.”—Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002
“There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction.”—Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002
“He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do”—Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002
“In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members ... It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons.”—Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002
“We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction.”—Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002
“Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America’s response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real...”—Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003
In the young person’s current vernacular;
“You got served beeyotch!”
Woo Woo!!
Don’t blame Canadian Liberal. Canada’s mental Health care sucks too. :)
Do you really think a majority of Americans think as you do?
You apparently think that the majority of Americans follow along behind the MSM’s lead like sheep behind a shepherd.
Just because the extremely liberal media says that the American people feel something or think something doesn’t necessarily make it true...in fact it is usually a good indication that the main stream of Americans think something completely different.
The MSM is NOT in the mainstream of Americans...which is why alternative news sources are so popular.
Polls are not valid indicators of public opinion, they are propaganda tools designed to steer public opinion in a particular direction.
Poll Question:
Please select the statement that most closely matches your opinion:
Canadian liberal is:
a) An Escaped Mental Patient
b) Ignorant about Americans
c) Intentionally Hostile
d) Sincere but Misguided
C......
Still pissed that the left no longer control the great white north.
Also consider that the “mainstream” media are based in Los Angeles and New York. The two most liberal areas of the country and the two areas that are the most out of touch with the rest of the country. The people of L.A. and N.Y. act as if they live in separate little countries and are somehow above the rest of us.
The majority of these “polls” are conducted in those big cities or other cities like them (San Francisco, Chicago, etc.) and do not take the time to actually talk to the rest of the country living in the southwest, the midwest, the beltway or the pacific northwest.
I have to agree with yngcelt here. I think anybody who doesn’t think most Americans hold socially, politically, conservative values is kidding themselves. I took a cruise last summer, and that’s a pretty mixed bag of people, geographically, socio-economically, etc… I was completely outnumbered by flag-waving Bush lovers: people giving standing ovations whenever a military guy walked into the dining room, the whole deal. Comedian of the night started making jokes about Bush-Cheney, and he was getting booed.
That doesn’t mean that political power won’t ever shift back to the left, but even when Clinton was in office, I think the country by and large was still conservative, religious, and hostile in their patriotism.
yngcelt: I read your post about supporting the troops. Never thought of all those ways. But I’m kind of with Sean Hannity on this: you can’t say you support the troops if you don’t support the mission. I just have a hard time morally supporting anyone who voluntarily put themselves in a position to take another person’s life. I just want them all to come home safe. That’s what I pray for.
By the way, what does reading someone “five by five” mean? I’m sure it’s a military thing, but I’m curious.
I believe it comes from radio communications where reception strength and clarity were rated on a 1 to 5 scale. So “5 by 5” would mean top of range in both strength and clarity. Or, as they said when I was a kid, “loud and clear.”

i pretty much feel the say way as that soldier does about democrats, liberals, protesters, anti-bush crowd etc..... and caseys mom.... am just so done with them they are not even worth the effort or time to debate or even listen to
