The Real Cuba
Watching Sicko you might come away thinking that Cuba was a healthcare paradise, where all medication costs five cents. Didn’t you see those doctors? How attentive, and calming, telling the patient over and over that everything was going to be okay. (This despite the fact that the woman clearly spoke fluent Spanish. Gee, it’s almost like that reassurance was for the viewer at home. But I digress.) So, is this typical Cuban medical care, or is it the type of care that Castro’s propaganda factory doles out when a willing stooge like Moore comes along with his cameras? Via Reason we see The Awful Truth.
[T]hese pictures, published in the Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter, … were taken at a nursing home in the Cuban province of Pinar del Río in June 2004.

This is the real Cuba. You fans of Sicko: MICHAEL MOORE IS LYING TO YOU. If you want to see more photographic evidence of the wool he is pulling over your eyes, click here.

the whole meme of Cuba being crippled by the US embargo is a load of crap as well, because there are few other countries that have set an embargo on them.
They can get the supplies they need, the problem is mismanagement and waste.
How terrible the stench in that room must be. It’s painfully obvious that no-one cares for that man, the mattress is just putrid, imagine trying to sleep on an itchy bit of disease ridden foam, covered in shit and god knows what. The people who are in charge of that nursing home should be rounded up and shot. that’s not a nursing home, thats a concentration camp.
Given the rather strict media control that Castro’s Cuba has maintained over the decades, I’m kinda curious as to just how the Dagens Nyheter managed to get these photos. Quez if you find the article (I tried but was unable to do so), could you please do a balefish on it and post it here for refrence material as well as the link to the article itself? Thanks.
Kodai, there’s more at therealcuba.com I assume they smuggled the photos out. People have been smuggling information out of Cuba since 1965…
At least the guy is in a room - how bout the number of homeless living on the streets of America.....

That goalpost seems a bit heavy, you need any help carrying it? I’m sure one of your friends will be by in a bit.
Very heart wrenching.
