Manufacturing Dissent - Uncovering Michael Moore

‘Tis The Season

With Thanksgiving having passed last week and Christmas right around the corner, I would like to ask all of the regulars here at Moorewatch to share with each other what they are thankful for this year.  It’s been a crazy year with the war still being fought, legal battles, celebrities going wild, Michael Moore making propaganda and using people for his own gain, etc.  A cynic could have a field day with all of the negative media out there.  So let’s try and put a positive spin on it and find some things to be thankful for.

I’m thankful for my wife and daughters and having a job that is stressful but still allows me to provide for my family.

I’m thankful for having great in-laws who treat me well and are very supportive.

I’m thankful for living in a country where I can speak my mind and express my feelings and thoughts and beliefs without fear of arrest, incarceration, punishment, torture or death.

I’m thankful for the brave men and women in our military who are putting thier lives on the line to protect all of us.

I’m thankful for living in Hawaii.  A place where there is so much beauty and aloha all around.

Finally, I’m thankful that Michael Moore is still around acting like a jackass and will continue to make propaganda that will provide fodder for Moorewatch.com

I’m thankful that all my family that was alive last Christmas will be alive this Christmas.

Which is important to me, considering I couldn’t say it last year.

Sincerely.

I’m thankful that this year, health-wise, has been a massive, huge, stellar improvement from last year.

I’m also thankful for all the cool people I know online.  Thank GodGore for the intertubes.

I’m thankful for God and family--most of the family, anyway.  I firmly believe that God provided very well for me during my nine month “sabbatical”.  I’m also thankful for a new job that still seems way too good to be true.

I’m also thankful, though I hesitate to admit it, that Trey and Matt are still putting together great episodes of South Park (though “suck my balls, Kyle” is getting as old as “they just killed Kenny” was).  And at the moment I’m thankful for a great little book called “If I Never Get Back”.  If you like baseball, history, dirty deeds and/or Mark Twain, give it a shot.  Yeah, I mentioned baseball, history, dirty deeds and Mark Twain in the same sentence about the same book.  It’s that good.  As far as the internet goes, I summon a quote from Jay:

“What’s the internet?”

And lest I forget, I’m very thankful for the heated seats in my new Subaru…

I’m thankful for my very loving family and friends.
I’m thankful that I’m still alive.
I’m thankful for Red Bulls and Rip-Its.
I’m thankful that I’m from a country with lots of freedoms and where like yngcelt said, express my feelings and opinions openly.
I’m thankful for places like Moorewatch and the SomethingAwful.com forums, two places where I spend most of my time on the internet.

I am thankful for my 18 month old son who has given me a new perspective on life…

...and my new car which gives me 74 mpg and no road tax, despite diesel doubling in price in over the past few years.
