Message: I think you are a selfish asshole who doesn’t even have the good sense to know when you are beat. Michael Moore helped you and the way you repay him is keeping this rhetoric filled sorry excuse for a site up. You are a horrible person and may your wife die shamed of everything you have said and done. You do not represent my country America and what we want. You are jealous of someone that gets respect when they speak out for all people. I cant wait to be there opening day at the movies for sicko. Go fuck yourself!

I wonder if Moore ever once stopped to consider how things like this affect a person trying to recover from a seven-year-long illness?  He has to know that a large portion of his core fanbase is simply barking mad.  These people are spiteful, mentally unstable and angry at everything, just looking for someone to focus it on, and he intentionally put us in their crazy, somewhat verbally violent crosshairs.

As for the fans?  Moore himself seems - on some personal level - to actually care a little if my wife suffers.  Shit like this just brings on more stress and more worry, and the film hasn’t even opened yet.  Moore says that this gift was designed to help us.  Why are his fans trying to make her recovery that much harder?  On what plane of existence does that make sense?

Moore: “This guy sucks and he hates me, but his wife is sick and we should all pull together at a time like this.”

Moore fan: “Fuck that bitch!  I hope she dies because her husband writes words!  On the Internet!  DIE YOU WHORE!”

Pardon my French, English and Spanish, but what the cock is wrong with you fuckbaggy little dick smokes?

Jim, all I have to say is that the last line of your post is pure profane artistry. It was almost Carlinesque. And I don’t make comparisons to George Carlin lightly.

As for the small-minded person who sent you two cents, he doesn’t deserve the poetic vulgarity you crafted in response to him. You should save classic lines like that for people who matter.

For future reference could you warn me when you are going to do that so that so my soda does not burn my nose on the way out.

I just could not stop laughing at that.  Thanks Jim, I’m getting ready for the first day of teaching summer school and that may be the new line that sneeks out for the really deserving children.

Jim, don’t give moore too much credit.  He is and has always been about himself, dating back to when he exploited the bunny lady in “Pets or Meat”, not to mention the destitute guy who sold his blood at the plasma center.  He exploits those who are vulnerable, which makes him a bully--and a cock.  To some extent, his fans are a reflection of him.

On a sidenote, I took my sister to her dentist in Northern Michigan today, and as it turns out, her dentist went to the premiere in Bellaire this past weekend.  Apparently someone got up in moore’s fat, retarded grill about his method of intruding on others personal space while taking legal means against those who would return the favor. As I heard it, Moore apparently said something to the effect of “I’m in the phone book, anyone can call me anytime.” As soon as I procure one, I’ll be checking the Traverse City phone directory to see if he’s telling the truth or not.  Might we want to post his PUBLIC phone number on this site just to see how accessible he is?  For those who might care, his actual residence is in Torch Lake, Michigan.  Yeah, it’s also mostly white and wealthy…

I am so sorry to see that.  I’ve seen and read alot of horrible things.  I probably have alot of opinions that oppose yours.  But this situation actually fills me with despair.  This whole movie.  The thought that it could actually set things going to bring socialized medicine into this country.  And most of all, watching how easy it is to make people react like barbarians based on minimal information.  All they see is about 2 minutes of your name and they think they can judge you.  All they see is a few minutes of a few people living in France and they walk away believing the “quality of life” is better there.  I don’t know what to say or do at this point.  Could you sue?  Cause I would definitely want to be looking into that.

Posted by JimK  on  06/19/2007  at  02:14 AM (Link to this comment | )

Midstream, thank you VERY much for being kind and rational.  As you can see not only from the email, but the comment that follows yours, not everyone who disagrees finds themselves able to be respectful in any way.

I hope that you’ll get involved with some of the topics around here.  We can always use another good person to talk to and keep us on our toes.

As for suing - It’s just not my thing.  I have this site to get my “defense” out in the world, and I’m happy with that.  Too many lawsuits in this country already.  :) Besides, I’m not sure I would even have grounds.  I mentioned this in comments before...I *am* semi-public and therefore fair game, I guess.  He didn’t really lie and make up words I wrote...he just edited them in a very “unique” way.  :)

Everytime I see one of these comments/emails wishing harm to MY FRIEND, it feels like someone is stabbing me in the gut. I can’t even imagine what it is like for you Jim as you are the spouse.
What type of a person wishes DEATH on someone? Seriously? Over a web site? DEATH? This is where we are as a society? This is just beyond my comprehnesion. I may disagree with certain people political etc, but I would NEVER, EVER wish death on them over WORDS ON A WEBSITE!!

I ask all you Moore-fans and Jim bashers out there to put yourself in Jim’s place and his wifes place. How would you feel if someone was wising DEATH and HARM to your loved ones? If you can say that it would not bother you then you are in far worse shape that there is no hope for you.

I just heard a portion of moore’s interview on “The View”.  He quoted Jesus saying that we’d be judged as we treat the least (most in need) among us.  It’s funny how those words made me think of how moore has used people like the aforementioned bunny lady, the man who sold his blood and now Jim’s wife, to help sell movie tickets and dvd copies.  Funny, but not funny in a “ha-ha” way…

On a side note, I thought that moore went to some high dollar fat farm.  What happened?

I wonder if he got his two cents worth out of that credit card charge.

When does the donation drive to payback Michael Moore begin. I would be good for $20. I just hate to see you become a hypocrite considering you didn’t “need the money”. If you didn’t need it then why did you ask for it? Especially so considering you thought it might be from Moore all along and had to know he was making a healthcare movie. I knew about this movie back in 2004 and am far from in touch with his ‘every move’

Start the drive for $12,000 and count me in for helping you pay this enormous debt back to satan himself.

Haven’t we covered this ad nauseum, Librarian? Go read the timeline - you’re off on at least a couple of points.

Ad nauseum doesn’t constitute a good answer If it did our politicans would have a great job. Just respond with bullshit till people get sick of hearing the answer.

When does the drive begin?

so sorry about the run on sentence. I didn’t spellcheck.

You’re still off on the sequence of events.  I’m not suggesting that it would change your mind—you don’t appear to be that open-minded—but it reveals a degree of ignorance.  Just thought you might want to know.

Is anyone else reminded of the techer from Charlie Brown when they read this...again, and the replies pointing out how wrong the points in this are over and over and over again? Blah blah blah wah wah wah

Yeah, it does remind me of the Charlie Brown teacher. “When are you going to payback Michael Moore now that you are sure beyond any reasonable doubt that he gave you the money you begged for on your website?”

“Blah blah blah wah wah wah”

/Thanks Janna, that was the perfect analogy.

jimk didn’t beg for money to pay his medical insurance.  Like I said you are a fucking simpleton

Libertarian-

If you want to pay back Michael Moore and make things “square”, shouldn’t you give the money back anonymously, and then also make a film about amazing humanitarians who give money away, and then announce in the film that you gave back Moore’s twelve thousand dollars, and then charge people seven fifty apiece to see the film, and then make millions from the DVD?

Allow me to anticipate: I am missing the point because Moore was nice and gave Jim twelve thousand dollars, and because Jim doesn’t agree with Moore’s techniques, he shouldn’t have accepted the money. And now that he’s accepted the money and thanked Moore, he should either give back the money and say “Screw You, Mikey,” or he should move into the apartment next door to Mikey and have barbecues and invite Moore over for the annual Kenefick Christmas/Haunukah/Kwanza extravaganza, and change Moorewatch to MooreLove, the official site of everything great about the Flabby Filmmaking Beast.

Oh how about this: “Belcatar, you’re just another one of JimK’s mindless followers who couldn’t possibly consider the idea that JimK was bought for 12,000 dollars, even though Jim told everyone about the money before Moore did. So why don’t you open your eyes and see what your Leader really is, a hypocrite who takes money from people he despises.”

Come on, man. Anonymous donations don’t end up in mass-marketed, feature films.

Jesus, you give both libertarians and librarians a bad name, and I’m both!
Take a couple logic classes, Libertarian Librarian; it’ll help your case a lot more.

Well if your not anonymously soliciting for people to help you out then the donation doesn’t need to be anonymous. Jim said he expected Moore was behind it all along and he still accepted under the guise “hehe, who wouldn’t take a free 12 large?” And that is fine and dandy, but expect your feet to be held to the fire for doing so.

sorry about my mispelling of ‘you’re ‘ I type, and never spellcheck, and then I type apologies like this.

Posted by Belcatar  on  06/21/2007  at  02:47 PM (Link to this comment | )

How does one go about anonymously soliciting money? How would the sender know where to send it? I would think you’d need an address at the very least.

Whether it needs or doesn’t need to be anonymous isn’t the point. Regardless of whether or not Jim was asking for money, Moore sent the money anonymously, and then used Jim’s story in his movie.

Again, Anonymous donations don’t end up in mass-marketed films.

Posted by Sethery  on  06/21/2007  at  02:52 PM (Link to this comment | )

Sure, the donation doesn’t need to be anonymous.  However, it was anonymous.  At least, it was until it was put in a movie and used to publicize same a year later.

For a librarian, you’re having an awfully hard time with fairly simple concepts.  Typography too, but at least you admit that.

This would be the third thread in which you’ve decided to do nothing but attack me or Donna.  Interesting.

I always find it fascinating when complete strangers have such deep insight into our minds and lives...or what helps a person fight back and relieve stress.

Idiot.
