Capitalism is evil

Moore has completely stopped pretending to be anything other than a total hypocrite.  Love it.

“Capitalism is an evil, and you cannot regulate evil,” the two-hour movie concludes.

“You have to eliminate it and replace it with something that is good for all people and that something is democracy.”

*sigh*

“Capitalism is evil! BUT...before you overthrow the system, do me a favor and pay ten bucks at the movie theater to see my commercially produced film - the work for which I underpaid my staff and abused them as I generally do - and keep funding my extremely lavish lifestyle for just a little bit longer. Cool? Cool.”

What a jackass.

As I posted in the “Goody Goody Gumdrops” thread, you can’t replace an economic system with a form of government.  His fifteen minutes have just about got to be up.

Just regulate capitalism, mix it up with some governemnt controlled stuff, and we’ll all be as fine as we can be. I.e. western world mixed economies seem to work better than totalitarian alternatives…

Democracy is two wolves and one sheep voting on the dinner menu.

It wasn’t evil oligarchial Sparta that forced Socrates to drink hemlock---it was wonderful, perfect, democratic Athens.

Once again, what does a form of economy have to do with a form of government?  You can’t replace one with the other.  It’s like having a flat tire and changing it with a fan belt.  Whatever happened to the left’s favorite juxtaposition “...like a fish needs a bicycle.”?  Apples and oranges, apples and oranges.

I was wrong in my initial assessment of moore fans.  They really are dumber than moore is if they’ll buy into any and every false premise that he advances.
