Hate Mail, the irony edition

Somehow I feel like the subject of this email and the contents are incongruous.  Or maybe not, it *is* the ACLU we’re talking about, and I’m not a radical far lefty.  Maybe it’s exactly the message they want their members to send, I don’t know.

Call me when the ACLU defends the Second Amendment.  Until then, I don’t care what they do, it’s all bullshit.  You either protect the Bill of RIghts or you don’t.

What kind of nutcase throws insults like THAT at someone and then expects you to join their side.  “You’re an evil bastard, now vote Democratic!” If someone came up to me on the street and pulled something like that, I’d probably laugh in their face.  I bet they’d think of me as a nutcase if I did that to them.  You’d think losing the 2004 election would teach them these tactics have the opposite effect.

I’m sort of interested in what kind of human Daemon is considering that his email name is newhumankind.

I’d like to add to what JimK said about the ACLU defending the 2nd Amendment.  When they stop defending NAMBLA, child predators and terrorists (in addition to supporting the 2nd Amendment), then they can give me a call … maybe.

Oh, and also when they rewrite their charter so that it looks like it wasn’t written by Soviet apparatchik.

Posted by relaxitsjustme  on  03/19/2006  at  07:25 PM (Link to this comment | )

The ACLU is truly an appalling group and should just be removed from the North American landmass. When terrorists and child pornographers become worth defending such a group isn’t worth defending. They’re out of their minds.
And that’s as nice as I’ll be.

Posted by artmonkey  on  03/19/2006  at  07:56 PM (Link to this comment | )

Jim,
It seems to me that the whole ACLU bit was just an auto-inserted tagline in this mental midget’s emails.
He probably just hit “send” before he remembered to click “paste”.  So you never got the pre-written moonbat anti-conservative assigned speech of the day from DU.com.
You just got the subject line, and a pretty good insight into the mind of your typical ACLU member.

Posted by Belcatar  on  03/19/2006  at  10:40 PM (Link to this comment | )

Well, if you want an America that’s true to the design of its founders, I don’t think the ACLU is where you want to go. It would probably be helpful if nutjobs like this guy actually took a little time out from reading Rolling Stone and actually perused the Constitution. One need go no farther than the Constitution to see how things ought to be.

Of course, that would require people to be-dare I say?-(dare! dare!)
Responsible for Themselves!

Posted by MostlyRepubMan  on  03/20/2006  at  02:07 PM (Link to this comment | )

The problem with the ACLU is that is has A LOT of people and circumstances that is responsible for defending by taking the stance it has. To protect the Bill of Rights is one thing, but to protect child predators and terrorists is another.
I agree with what has been stated already: when the ACLU started defending the Second Amendment, I MIGHT start believing that they have something of value to add to our society.

Posted by iggy21  on  03/20/2006  at  03:48 PM (Link to this comment | )

They only protect parts of the first amendment, the ones that they believe in… (and as Jim said, they completey ignore the 2nd Amendment)

Posted by genFX  on  03/20/2006  at  05:07 PM (Link to this comment | )

The ACLU has as much of a right to exist and defend the laws… or the laws the like… I also have the right to say they are a bunch of (mostly) irrelevant wankers .

Posted by joeyblong  on  03/20/2006  at  09:52 PM (Link to this comment | )

Yeah, and you don’t ‘protect’ the Bill of Rights by replacing it with the American version of Hitler’s Enabling Acts, the ‘PATRIOT’ Acts.  Am I right again?

You nazis are so thoroughly dishonest.  You’re very shameful.  And a disgrace to our courageous forefathers.

Prediction:  When the CFR and The Trilateral Commission decide they’ve pushed to the right enough for now, and they decide to take the country back to the left - because it suits their agenda at that point - rags like yours will all-of-a-sudden swing to the left.

Thanks for the laugh, troll.  Now take your meds and go back to your finger painting, mkay?

Well my chimpy pal you were not censored.  But I do find your use of nazis interesting.  Interesting in the fact that you show no evidence that we are, but your stick waving would suggest that fascism is in your cards.  But I really hope rants like that gets you tail at starbucks or whatever coffe shop you hang out at , you know nazis hung out in coffee shops right?  So please be my guest and breed this thought among your fellows, I’m sure they will parrot this out just like you did.

Ouch my feelings! JimK, help! Get rid of it! It’s starting, I’m turning into a simpering girl. NOOOooo!

Oh, never mind--it was just gas.

What was that Troll talking about, anyway? Everyone knows that the world is run by those Bankers and the Illuminati, who are in turn run by the Masons, whose strings are pulled by either the Catholic Church or Israel, depending on who you’re talking to.

I think that poor guy needs to do some more reading.

I’ll just be perfectly blunt with you here: You’re an idiot, throwing around Nazi like that.  There are many points of view represented at this site that have been here for a long time.
I don’t know every little detail of the following law, but didn’t this guy just Godwin?

Have you even read the patriot act?  Do you even know what it does?

Most people who are opposed to it dont.  They only hear the news mention profiling, and freak the fuck out.

Note: I havent read it either :(

Thanks for clarifying that CSgt. I have been coming to this website for a few months now and am not familiar with his humor, which now that I understand it, I find refreshing.

What the ACLU and Daemon don’t seem to realize is that the Constitution prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures (Amendment IV). If someone is talking to or harboring a dangerous enemy of the country, the government has the right to know and take action. Otherwise, the country could be undermined from within (or without), and then what are we left with? No Constitution! The Constitution must have some kind of self-preserving feature, or else what is the point of it existing in the first place? Actually, the ACLU probably realizes this, but they have their own agenda, or else their reason for existence would be undermined.

This is so WAY OT, but I had to submit it to share a good laugh about David Gregory. Sorry if this takes away from the discussion at hand:

Quick, someone remind me… have we ever censored anyone here? Ever?
I think this kid’s lost. He thinks he’s at the DU.

And speaking of “being a man” and facing “the truth” when “it hurts”, I wonder where he simpered off to?

Seriously… if you’re going to throw disparaging remarks out regarding others’ masculinity, maybe you should first grow a pair yourself, huh?
A good way to prove you’ve done so is by sticking around after you make moronic comments… not running away like a typical effete hippy twit.

And if you do have the sack to return and reply, just answer one simple question;

In what way have you, or anyone you’ve ever met, been at all (even a little bit) oppressed (or even mildly inconvenienced) by anyone enforcing any part of the patriot act?

And no, having to take time off from your job at Gerry’s Head Shop to join the “totally gnarly sit-in” down at the City hall doesn’t count.

Head over to Loosechange911.com to find the truth behind 911.

Hahahahahahahahaha!!

I looked over some of their “evidence”, and it’s laughable.

Any time someone uses:

Hani Hanjour allegedly executes a 330-degree turn at 530 MPH

as any kind of proof that 9/11 was anything other than what it was, they’re demonstrating how stupid they are and that they’re just a conspiracy nut who will believe anything if it sounds good enough.

I especially like these:

The document proposed staging terrorist attacks in and around Guantanamo Bay, to provide a pretext for military intervention in Cuba.

(that one’s from 1962!)

A remote-controlled Boeing 720 takes off from Edwards Air Force Base, and is crash landed by NASA for fuel research.

From 1984. I don’t see what that proves, other than the fact that NASA has some pretty cool technology and they research things well.

Yes, “thetruth”, you have truly opened my eyes. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!

(you guys really crack me up!)

I took a gander at the site, too… wow. what a goddamned riot that was. I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard in years.

I don’t know what’s more hilarious; the insane conspiracy theories, or the fact that there are actually some people so delusional that they not only believe them, but that they spend time promoting them!

Actually, there’s something even funnier than that;
The idea that these lunatics have that they are somehow “courageous seekers of truth” and that those who point and laugh are just “not ready for the truth”.

Oh, jesus… you ever laugh so hard that your eyes tear up?

But wait… it gets better…

Check this quote out, from “Chuck”, on their forums…

On 2nd thought, I dont think I will be at ground zero on 9-11-06. What makes you think they wouldnt blow ground zero up to get rid of loose ends and activists that will be there that day to mourn and blame it on Osama again.
On third thought, theres noway in hell I’m going to be there now. Not unless we have a bullet proof caboose or something.
It would just be way to easy for them to wipe us all out.
Call me paranoid but does anybody think the same way?

I think I just peed myself.
