Wide World of Linking

As of this writing the Drudge Report is linking directly to the Pirate Bay-hosted torrent page with the link SICKO hits the net a week before release....

To our good friend Orty, and all the fine legal staff at Lionsgate, have fun with that lawsuit.

JimK is a sad soul. You spend your days harping on a guy who’s trying to make a difference for the people against big business. Your right, he does use a grey hat style of reporting the information, but that’s what needs to be done sometimes to get people to see. Big business uses far dirtier tactics to enslave the world, yet all you can do is make fun of a guy who puts an exclamation point on the disasters they’re causing. I feel confident that you will burn in hell, enjoy.

There has never been an institution created by man which has created more disasters and uses dirty, oppressive tactics more than the one institution that Moore and his fans think will solve every problem and kiss every boo-boo—government.

On Moore’s site he has a linked Reuters article by Kevin Klowicki which has the following statement:

Separately, Moore said he would not prosecute those already circulating bootleg copies of the still-unreleased documentary on the Internet. “I’m happy for people to see my movie. I’m not a big fan of the copyright laws in this country,” he said

.

This must give Harvey Weinstein shitfits, or maybe he’s made enough so he doesn’t care either.

If he’s not a big fan of copyright laws, why not just offer the film for free on the internet and don’t charge theatres to show it?  Theatre owners could actually make more money as film goers would have an extra $10 in their pockets to buy concessions with.  More pure profit for the theatre owner.  Moore could be a pioneer in the movie industry with his “Universal Movie Screening” program.  Movies for free for everyone.  C’mon mikkkel, walk the walk, buddy…

Now that I think about it, this could actually be done relatively inexpensively.  He could make one digital copy of the film and then send it via satellite to movie theatres to broadcast digitally on their movie screens (like they do in some theatres for sporting events), ala “The Last Broadcast”.  Movie watching as an exercise in socialist entertainment.  I like it.

By the way, on the local news I saw that moore had an advance screening of “sicko” in Belaire, MI today.  It’s near his million dollar estate in Torch Lake, MI.  He set it up as a benefit for the local Democrat Party.  One female moviegoer said “He and his wife have actually been quite active in the Party.” I’m shocked.

I don’t know if it means anything or not, but the story only showed about a 5 second clip of moore addressing either the MEdia or the crowd, it really didn’t specify which; but it was just video, no audio.  Just an observation.

Dammit, I wish I would have remembered this was happening today.  I wanted to print up a timeline of moore’s magnanimity toward JimK, and make a poster size copy of it.  I was planning on getting press credentials (I still have some connections in the MEdia) and point blank was going to ask moore why he chose to fabricate a timeline for the $12,000 gift instead of presenting it as it actually occured.  Dammit!!!  All apologies for letting you guys down.
