The Post interview with Moore has him asserting that he doesn’t get sued very much for his work.  He says he is conscientious about fact checking and had one suit for Bowling for Columbine and one for Fahrenheit 9/11.  For Bowling, that would be the James Nichols suit which got dropped and for Fahrenheit it would be the Peter Damon suit which also got tossed.  However, there were at least two that he lost with “Roger and Me,” a $6,000 settlement to Larry Steccho, the guy at the party who talks about the Industrial Revolution, and Deputy Fred for an undisclosed out of court settlement.  There also was a suit over the sludge episode from the Awful Truth and a restraining order issued by some CEO he was dogging.  I’d say Moore’s law team has been pretty active.

I’m afraid the specifics of where I work and how I get paid I’ll keep to myself.  As for the nature of my work:  I’m currently working in the field of intelligent systems and robotics research.  I am doing what I like to do, and I am valued for my abilities and the quality of my work.  My life defines my work, not the other way around.  In short, I am nobody’s slave.

But I’m not happy about all the people that aren’t happy, and yes, wealth goes hand-in-hand with happiness when you don’t have any food to eat or you can’t get medical help. What you guys don’t understand is to me this is way bigger then a certain corporation or some documentary, I feel for the millions of starving people, the women being raped around the world, the kids being thrown to the curb. I want to funnel this big business money that sits in executives offshore bank accounts and funnel that back to the people they stole it from. Sure pal. I’ve got an orchard, gardens, and fruiting plants in every formerly open spot around my house and I only probably get 1 months worth of food out of it a year (for one person, not even the whole family could go a month). :)

Unless you have a farm (vs. a garden) I doubt your not living off corporate food at all.

False causation / typical Moore-esq spin. Moore is hardly sued because libel law in the US is heavily slanted to towards the author in order to protect free speech…
