Fred Thompson give Moore something to think about
This was just so funny that I had to share it with you all. PJTV caught up with Fred Thompson last night at the RNC and asked him about Moore’s statements in the last week. Thompson’s reaction was simply priceless. Here, just watch:
Classic. I wonder what Moore’s response will be to this one? ;)
Comments
It was in regard to Michael Moore’s stupid comment about Hurricane Gustav. Senator Thompson stated to Michael Moore, yes their is a God. You should be afraid, very very afraid. He asks what are we going to do when Michael Moore leaves the political scene.
He also got a cigar out of his pocket before he answered, because when Fred Thompson first came back on the scene and everyone was trying to get him to run for President, Michael Moore had a crack at him for smoking cuban cigars, but opposing lifting sanctions on cuba.
Thompson in response made a youtube clip where he smoked a cigar and pointed out it was dominican, not cuban, and made a lot of fun at Moore’s expense..
You guys don’t get that Moore is sort of commenting on how preachers seem to always blame gay people/sinners for storms hitting places?
I mean look at Fred Phelps, he totally exploits the mindset.
The point is, how come when Katrina hits it’s because people are sinners but when the storm trips up the RNC they’re not related at all?
And come on, the way the country is being run you don’t think it is very coincidental that the party responsible is getting the shaft from mother nature?
Billistics, maybe he’s commenting on those preachers, or maybe he being vindictive. I myself don’t see it as a commentary on preachers, but that’s only because I’ve seen and heard enough from Moore to know that he’s actually kind of spiteful.
As for the party that is currently running the country, are you aware of who controls Congress, and what role Congress fulfills… and how much they have NOT been doing for the past four years?
Speaking of which...
“The Democratic-controlled Congress, acknowledging that it isn’t equipped to lead the way to a solution for the financial crisis and can’t agree on a path to follow, is likely to just get out of the way.”

You need to take that up with Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell.
Neither of whom, I should note, were present at the RNC. In other words, I don’t know where you’re making the leap from televangelists to Republican politicians.

That’s not exactly my point…
My point is, when a televangelist says that kind of stuff about gay people do you think Thompson would react to the televangelist in the same way?
Seriously, Billistics, who cares? I don’t recall there being a Democratic outcry over Moore’s comments.

DonnaK posted the video, not me.
Billistics, am I to understand that you don’t think Moore is being spiteful?
I have dial-up, so I really can’t watch the video. But I’d still like to know what it was Fred Thompson said.
